Star Wars™: Commander App Reviews

I loved this game, as I love all things Star Wars. I even spent real money on this game. But now I will delete it permanently. I played as the Empire for a long time until I switched to play as the Rebels. I thought that I could switch back easily, from one side to the other.....not true. Once I switch back to the other side, it takes days or weeks to be able to collect resources. Which means...I cant collect my resources in the game and I cant play the game. So I am going to spend my money elsewhere. Ever play Walking War Robots? Great game! Call of Duty Heroes is a great game, no issues so far. Forge of Empire is a great game as well. The difference between Star Wars Commander and those games is that those games have easy access to the developers, so that you can write to them with issues and get feedback very easy.

Great game and a great addicting time waster

Its very good. The downloading is very fast, graphics is very good, although the factory makng looks very strange. (building a person? LOL) So overall, its a very nice game.

Out of all the styles of the same game I prefer to play this one.

amazing this is totally like clash of clan but with star and it awesome

The game is fun but upgrades take for ever, even at lower levels. This is obviously to get you to speed them up and spend more money, and it aint cheap. I am only on level 5 and most of the buildings take 1d to 1d12h to upgrade them. The main building takes 4d+ to level 6. Also there is no easy way to size up opponents, like a rank or level, when debating on attacking them and you only get 30 seconds to decide, so by the time you figure out your opponent is far more advanced than you, to late, all troops dead.

Im coming from clash and lots of same concepts with different language, but bc its Star Wars brings a whole lot better story line, which I enjoy very much. 4 stars for the interface not being as great as clash

Ive been playing since it started a year ago. It stated fun, but like anything Star Wars creates anymore, it turned into something that costs lots of money to enjoy.

New update wont even open on my phone. Super not cool. Horrible update! Pretty sure they arent posting all the bad reviews. No one I know likes the update!

As an AVID Star Wars fan, this game brings to life an almost "Clash of Clans" style game to the endless list of great ones!

For anyone whos played CoC, or Boom Beach it will be familiar. But its still a good time.

DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ Squad wars needs work! Great idea but... 1-match-ups are way out of whack. Being the rebels, always overmatched with multiple enemies at higher levels than us. Lost all of them so far. 2-the ability to pick your team needs work. I only have about 20 seconds to pick my players on my team. Not enough time. It then auto-picks the team. I need a few minutes to make sure Im unable to pick players that want to participate. Its throwing in players that are good for the squad in normal play but they dont participate in a quad wars. Im always left with 10+ attacks remaining at the end and loosing by 3-5 points. 3-make a button that allows you to "turn off" auto pic so you can have the time needed to pic your squad at your leisure. The game as a whole gets 3-3.5 stars. Winning a battle and having to still buy troops that survived is ridiculous. Where are they going? Defecting to the enemy? Even if you dont deploy troops in a battle they are just gone when you return. Im at level 8 (which has taken half a year and about $100 total) and it will take months to get the resources to upgrade properly to level 9. Upgrade times are stupidly long. Some troop movements dont make any sense. The game play as a whole is fun and addicting. Graphics and ability to share troops are great.

This game is fun, in a way, but infuriating when you are destroyed every day by the opposing faction. Also, it seems that everyone is joining the Empire. I joined forces with the Rebels just to balance it out. The early-game is easy, but once you reach level 5, it gets difficult, without Squad Wars, yet with a Squad. I like the feature that allows you to build your base as you see fit. The story is okay, and Im fine with a mediocre story. I had an idea, where units from a Squad member had the emblem of the Squad somewhere on them. I dont care if that doesnt get added.

The game can be enjoyable. Rebel forces are greatly outmatched! I wish I would have known the disadvantage you have as a rebel. Imperial walkers devastate like nothing the rebels have accessible. Squad wars are far to difficult to build a 15 member team with HQ requirements. I have come to the HQ 8 which stalls progression DRAMATICALLY! It takes too long to upgrade defenses that most are useless (shield generators take 2 shots from the walker and are destroyed) by the time you gain alloy to upgrade you are attacked by superior imperial forces and lose funds. If you have a multiple hour guard/shield (6-12 hours) then you attack and lose the entire guard/shield time!!! Much to improve!

Awesome app! I am a complete Star Wars fan and love the experience of being a imperial commander!

I have to say this game is amazing the voice actors of the people who are from the Star Wars franchise are amazing. I love how they took everything from Star Wars and put it like a look alike game like clash of clans or forge Empires Im not saying those games are better than this. But there not this game topples overall in this thinking strategy game which makes you think outside of the box when you play. And the best thing that they have added is war that made this hole Star Wars aspect even better.

Definitely try this if your a Star Wars fan. Great story once you get the hang of it.
